  3. Fig. 23.36 Carcinoid tumour: sclerotic bony metastasis. Bony metastases from malignant carcinoid tumours are characteristically densely sclerotic. This AP film of the distal femur and knee shows the typical appearance of such an intramedullary lesion. The primary tumour was in the rectum.
